Who is this class for?
If you have little or no horse experience, if want to volunteer at an equine facility or get back into horses after being away, this class will give you hands-on experience to build your knowledge about and confidence handling horses.
The class teachings include information and discussion about the evolution of the horse, equine anatomy and horse care. There is a focus on establishing and maintaining connection with the horse, to allow for open communication between horse and handler. Class includes the experience of actively leading a horse and learning how to discern when a horse has become tense or agitated vs. at ease and listening. This class provides you with the experience of being truly present with horses. Mindfulness of your actions around and with horses, allows for safe handling and enjoying interacting with them.
Your learning includes:

Daily care and equine anatomy.

Awareness of boundaries and how to approach a horse.

Experience grooming as pleasurable for you and the horse.

Leading a horse with connection and leadership.

Gaining personal safety from grounded awareness.
